MBNYFW Feb '13: Day 5

Busy, busy. What a busy day! Started off with ICB by Prabal Gurung which was absolutely amazing, even liked the down coat, must say, definitely among my favorite New Yorker shows: new asymmetric cuts and shapes, shades of grey, sexiness plus coolness, leather belts, prints and a love for details - best thing? It's all at once, truly loving it! What about you? Convince yourself here, there - in motion!

Afterwards we spurted to the Box at Lincoln Center to get a glimpse on Mathieu Mirano's chic presentation: a lot of gold, a lot of lurex and some crazy fur heels, I tell ya...

...whereas upcoming 23 year old designer LITKE showed us across the street some quarters later at the Empire Hotel (mind you!) her Amish-inspired collection which I really enjoyed. Surprisingly all in for the prints - actually didn't know the Amish are using that fancy fabrics, did you? -  and can't help but think she actually wore the collection's master piece herself. See that party in the back? Just WOW!

Also, LXR & Co.'s pop up shop some floors below made my eyes, you know, pop up. And I'm not talking 'bout the culinary bites, but vintage designer bags, jewelry and other accessories in pretty good conditions, mind you, at a reasonable price, again, mind you, as far as the eye could reach, again, again, mind you! Yes, admitted, my mouth was watering too - and, again, I'm still not talking 'bout the snacks. Wanna know how their Beverly Hills based store looks or rather what they exactly have to offer? Here's a little sneak peek in pictures and luckily, they just launched their European website

It's unbelievable, right? Left wondering, though, where do they get all those bags from? ... - Lindsay Lohan?!

Cheers to that and happy Tuesdays!
xx, A.
